Growing up near the beach, I used to collect shells with my mom on most summer mornings. She liked the big clam shells and used them throughout her garden.
When I grew up, I returned to the beach with my children. When they grew up, I returned again and stayed, seeking peace, grounding, and connection to Our beach, five generations.
This time, I sought all kinds of shells. I love the small ones and the big ones. I love the whole ones and broken holy ones. I also began to see a strong connection between the shells and light. That's when I started to go beyond collecting to creating. I wanted to bring the beauty of the shell into the light and then share that beauty.
Thus, Susan's Shells was born. We are here to create shells and light for you, night lights, tables with lighted inserts, collages and more.
